Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Radha is of Indian origin and speaks fluent English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. Belonging to a diverse background, she has a unique perspective and distinct personality ideal for varying genres of television programming today.
TV NEWS:
A multi-skilled and highly experienced broadcast journalist with over nine years of experience working across television programming – from News to hard-hitting Current Affairs & Investigations, to Factual, Access-based and Observational Documentary programming.
From starting in fast paced newsrooms of BBC and Associated Press Television News, field producing and presenting for national and international regions, Radha gradually moved to long form documentary making, working across producing and on screen presenting for BBC3, BBC Worldwide and BBC Inside Out as well as undercover investigative reporting for UK flagship programmes; Channel 4 Dispatches, BBC Panorama and BBC Inside Out.
CURRENT AFFAIRS:
As an experienced journalist, Radha continues to network with key commissioners, executives and independent production companies, pitching and developing ideas with extensive experience of producing treatments and seeing films through to post-production. This in turn has allowed her to work in specialist programmes as a producer and presenter. Radha has developed stories for Al Jazeera documentary strands as well as produced treatments for BBC3 current affairs, BBC 2 Factual and UK regional strands.
Most notably, she developed and presented ‘India, A Dangerous Place to be A Woman’, a hard-hitting BBC Worldwide documentary examining gender inequality and the treatment of women in India.
Radha has produced two foreign films for Al Jazeera driven by human stories and characters on international current affairs news stories on the persecution, oppression and discrimination of the Rohingya community fleeing to Bangladesh as well as the illegal smuggling of the charcoal trade from Somalia to the Middle East.

As a credible and confident on-screen journalist, Radha has presented in international broadcasts. With a key voice and ideas to hand, she is passionate about going beyond trends and boundaries to unearth stories and voices – revealing the heart of a story and bringing it to a mass audience. Her strengths as a journalist is firmly on screen. Most notably, she presented ‘India, A Dangerous Place to be A Woman’, a BBC Worldwide documentary examining the treatment of women in India following the harrowing Delhi gang rape case in 2012.
With a natural presenting and reportage style, Radha’s ability to connect with an audience makes her story telling and delivery effortless.

Radha regularly speaks about gender inequality and is deeply passionate about empowering women and females in her homeland India and across the world.
She is often quoted stating ‘if you want to know about any country, you must look at the treatment of its women, for this will tell you the national story.’
